Featured Site No.3 : //labs.digg.com/arc/

Ignore the confusing URL for a second, in fact don't, because unless your pretty quick with a mouse and reading, and with lots of colours, and titles and such rapidly changing, then don't bother looking at this site http://labs.digg.com/arc.
It does look pretty though, which could be all that matters these days, and it does what it apparently sets out to do, which is to make browsing a techy/geeky/intelligent forum a bit more fun than the usual drone of cut off titles and misleading titles.

Anyway, I'll keep this short and sweet because I'm tired and Family guy is coming on soon!, so head over and have a look yourself! go on! over at http://labs.digg.com/arc/

Featured Site No.2 : www.picnik.com

Picnik is a very cool site, imagine, if you will, a very basic version of Photoshop, that anyone could pick up and use, that had a very easy gui, and was also very pretty AND stupidly functional? with me so far?

Well here it is. www.picnik.com.

Have a few photos from your trip away? three or four photos have red eye syndrome you say? well, why not use Picnik's auto red eye fix tool, just click on the red eye and BAM! its done!
Have a few photos that are slightly blurred? use the sharpen function! Theres also very neat crop, resize and rotate tools.

So if your frightened of Photoshop/Photopaint/Paintshop pro etc, then this could be ideal for you, it even remembers the last image you were working on if you accidentally close the browser window!

Add to this stupidly easy integration with several websites such as Facebook, Flickr and Picasa.

and you have a very functional, easy to use package, there is also extensions for Firefox that allow you to instantly import screen shots of the web into Picniks edit section with a single right click of the mouse! Genius!

Have a look over at www.picnik.com

The Beast!

The Beast!
Created in Photoshop as part of a 5 flyer series for a road trip myself and 3 friends from Wales took to Edinburgh for a friends stag do!.
One of my favourite pieces of mine, with a funky graffiti look and feel.

What do you think? Criticism is always welcome, even if you do think its crap!

The man, The myth, The dungoen master...

This is me!
Thats right! SVENNO!
That is a beard!

Can you tell I'm bored?

web design update.

Well, not so much of an update, but a roundup of whats been going on in regards to my web design!

Svennosworld

Svennosworld kind of died to tell the truth, after version 13 (ironically enough) my hosing expired, so lost all info that was online, including layout psd's all the artwork and all the code, and my damn computer decided to fail not that long after, so i had to start from scratch!

Archif

After much thought and deliberation, with my sister Tanwen, we decided on a moniker for my new portfolio site, and that moniker is 'Archif', which is Welsh for archive. We thought a welsh name would be appropriate, since i relocated to North Wales in september 2006 to live in a rural town called Blaenau Ffestiniog for some reason or other!
The site has gone through 3 or 4 different designs, and its currently half finished and a bit empty, but its online to a certain extent, with some content kicking about for all to have a look over at www.archif.co.uk!
In time, i expect to use this as my main portfolio site..one day :P

New image..

Flowers
Created in Photoshop using various foliage style brushes ive collected over the years, with a fairly garish yet lovely (if thats possible) gradient background.
Recently Ive started creating a lot more images than normal, and most of them have been vector images, or standard photoshop peices with a lot of brush wor simulating the look of vectors, i suppose thats the way things are heading really, in my opinion the whole grunge/dark/dirty/worn/weathered style of design is getting a bit aged, and don't get me started on the whole music scene's approach to design!.
Everything seems to be going back to smooth edges, stark contrast between elements in the images and pastel colours and so on. Regardless of whether this is the case, or that I'm actually talking absolute rubbish, design will eventually get to the point where EVERYTHING is old, which scares me.

Lets look forward to the grey apocolypse

Featured Site No.1 : www.notcot.com

I found this site by mistake one afternoon when i was procrastinating as much as possible, and this site didnt help the matters. Choc full of beautiful items you can wear, use, eat, listen to, watch and so on. all of which (with the odd exception) are kind of pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for right?.

Have a look over at www.notcot.com and enjoy!

Well well...

..I appear to have moved into the new age of words and shit and got a blog (which i feel i should mention out of my guilt for receiving free stuff, is courtesy of Blogger).

I reckon I'll neglect this place after about 4 minutes, but you never know, it might turn out to be a little pet for me, like Livejournal was until it got filled to the brim with goths in a Fois Gras goose factory feeding time kinda way, Hence my quietly leaving it to rot.

Anyway, I plan to Use this space to show off some of my artworks, websites and general random photos/videos, so keep an ear to the ground and pretend that you can monitor websites that way, and check back regularly to see if i actually follow through with this and actually showcase anything!
